STAY AWAY: Beware of This Contractor
Contract Dispute - Overpayment Not Refunded:
On about September 2025, I hired the defendant to perform construction work at 825 22nd Street, 2B, Union City, New Jersey 07087. The agreed upon payment for the project was $6,300.
I initially paid the defendant via Zelle $1,500 as a deposit and later paid an additional $1,500 before completing the job, totalling $3,000.
During the final discussion of the job, it was incorrectly stated that the cost was $6,300 and I, acting in good faith, paid the full $6,300.
After a couple of days of reviewing my records, I realized that I had overpaid by $3,300. I immediately contacted the defendant to request a refund.
The defendant acknowledged the overpayment and promised to repay the funds, but claimed he was busy on a job.
The defendant later stated that his wife would deliver the refund check, but she was working till 9 o'clock at night. No repayment has been received nor any phone calls returned.
Despite multiple calls and promises to return the money over several weeks, the $3,300 overpayment has NOT been refunded. This experience has been extremely disappointing and shows a complete lack of integrity.
I would strongly recommend finding someone you can trust with both the work and the financial side of any project. Do NOT hire this contractor.

Update: 2/9/2026, as of today, I'm still going to court and all I hear is promises, and once this Contractor has the money, then is gonna be very difficult for him to follow through, so I highly do not recommend that you use this company or this individual. I'm in court right now, and we're waiting for a judgment so we can suspend his contractor's license. I'll keep you up-to-date.

Update: 4/17/2026, as of today, After six long months and pain staking paperwork for the system of Hudson County we finally got a judgemnt, I will be sending a complaint to his contracting business in Trenton to let them know that this person is not dealing in the right frame of mine with current clients.
Also, we're going to get the Constable to seize his assets and he's Security number has the judgement he cannot finance or by any properties or equipment that requires his credit until he pays the judgement...
